FAQ
What does FAQ mean?
According to wikipedia. "FAQ is an initialism for "Frequently Asked Question(s)". The term refers to listed questions and answers, all supposed to be frequently asked in some context, and pertaining to a particular topic. Since the acronym originated in textual media, its pronunciation varies; "fak", "faks" and "F.A.Q." are commonly heard. Depending on usage, the term may refer specifically to a single frequently-asked question, or to an assembled list of many questions and their answers."
What does brunurb mean?
brunurb is my name converted in a way to create a palindrome.
What is a palindrome?
A palindrome is a word, phrase, number or other sequence of units that has the property of reading the same in either direction.
To see the story of palindromes and a list of famous palindromes take a look at the wikipedia article about palindromes here.
Isn't a word that reads the same both ways called an ambigram?
No. An ambigram is a graphical figure that spells out a word not only in its form as presented, but also in another direction or orientation. This means that the letters or symbols in an ambigram must be created and transformed so that they read the same both ways even when inverted or mirrored. See the wikipedia article about ambigrams here.
What is your name?
My name is brunurb without the palindrome part, and one letter changed.
Why create a FAQ in a webpage with so little content?
Beacause I needed a way to test this accordion style menus, and needed text to fill the menus and topics. So instead of just filing it with Lorem Ipsum... dummy text, arranged this topics as a content to fill.
What does Lorem Ipsum mean?
Lorem Ipsum is standard placeholder text used to demonstrate the graphic elements of a document or visual presentation, such as font, typography, and layout. Lorem ipsum also serves as placeholder text in mock-ups of visual design projects before the actual words are inserted into the finished product.
Why am I reading this?
I don't know. May be you suffer from procrastination, or you have a boring job.
What does procrastination mean?
Procrastination is a type of avoidance behaviour which is characterised by deferment of actions or tasks to a later time. It is often cited by psychologists as a mechanism for coping with the anxiety associated with starting or completing any task or decision. To learn more about procrastination read this wikipedia article.
Isn't this FAQ long enough to fill the topic as pretended?
Yes.
when
since 1999
started creating this webpage in 1999, it had many different designs which have changed some times up to now, as I learn new ways of creating webpages and content. The address changed 4 or 5 times because I changed ISP, since it has always been stored in the space provided by the ISP's that I have used during that time. Because most of the ISP's here provide a bad service, I had to change the ISP several times, so since google started providing webspace for it's users, I have stored my webpage in google and also started using gmail, that way I'll keep always the same webpage and email address even after I change to a new ISP.
where
location
I'm located in Lat 38.712727, Lon -9.135571, take a look at the map shown in the main menu to see the location.
why
reason
There are some reasons to have this webpage.
- It's free.
- A way to store my work, and have access to it from any place that has a web connection.
- A way to learn how to use this technology.
- A way to spend free time without spending money.
